CIFS
In oktober 2014 Stockholm University migrated Fysikum users network home space from AFS to Common Internet File System (CIFS). Those who uses a Fysikum machine will find their home space mounted under the directory:
/media/cifs/<username>/
The network home space is backed up regularly and it's also possible to recover deleted files in this directory for some period back in time. The local home on Fysikum machines will be empty from start. Note that there will be no backups on local home!

Fysikum still uses AFS for sharing files between users at Fysikum.
